I believe every woman holds deep, God-given value—even when life’s pain makes it hard to see.

Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of your next steps, you don’t have to face it alone.

My calling is to walk with you through those struggles, helping you rediscover your strength, restore your peace, and reconnect with the life God intended for you.

I’ve spent over two decades serving individuals and families through counseling, leadership, and education. After earning my Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science from Concordia University and my Master’s in Social Work from Loma Linda University.

I am also a Certified Mental Health and Nutrition Specialist, supporting my passion for understanding how nutrition impacts mental health. I remain an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), committed to ethical excellence and continued learning in our field.

At Heritage of Hope Counseling, you’ll find a space grounded in faith, compassion, and clinical excellence.

My approach blends evidence-based practices with a deep respect for each person’s spiritual journey. If you’re ready to feel more whole, hopeful, and resilient, I’m here to help you move forward—one step at a time.

How Our Work Unfolds

We create a safe, supportive space to understand your experiences, emotions, and the narratives shaping your anxiety, depression, and self-worth.

Using CBT tools, narrative therapy, and biblical truth, we gently challenge unhelpful beliefs and reshape your story toward hope, identity, and wholeness.

You’ll apply new insights and skills in daily life, building confidence, emotional balance, and a renewed sense of worth rooted in faith and personal growth.

"I have been working with Candis since I was about 15 years old, and I’m about to turn 26. We both decided I had gotten to a place where I no longer needed sessions.

After having my first child a little over a year ago, she was ready when I needed help tackling postpartum anxiety and depression. Talking with Candis takes the stigma away from getting mental health services. Can NOT recommend her enough!!!"

Susan L.

"Heritage of Hope, specifically Candis, has been so incredibly helpful for me through thick and thin. I found my safe space with Candis and she has helped me through some difficult, heartbreaking and especially enlightening life events.

Thank goodness for Candis and Heritage of Hope; I continue to grow, hopefully into a better person, with her caring guidance and trusted counseling."

Lydia M.

“While I’ve valued supporting my mental health for over 10 years, it wasn’t until 2018 that I was blessed to find the best fit for me: Candis Ubiles. From the beginning, she has embraced evidenced-based approaches intertwined with resting on The Lord.

Her kindness, love, and dedication to her practice is evident during every session and she always reminds me of who I am in Christ. I am so thankful for her wisdom and guidance!”

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Christian counseling differ from secular therapy?

Christian counseling integrates biblical principles and faith perspectives while utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. We acknowledge God as the ultimate healer and use scripture as a guide alongside professional counseling methods.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum. As progress is made, we may transition to bi-weekly sessions. We'll discuss the best frequency for your specific situation during our consultation.

How long does counseling typically last?

Every journey is unique. Some clients find significant relief in 8-12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll regularly evaluate your progress and adjust our approach as needed.

What if I'm not sure my faith is strong enough right now?

You don't need to have perfect faith to benefit from Christian counseling. Many women come feeling distant from God or struggling with doubts. This is a safe space to explore those feelings without judgment.
